About Me
Hi! I’m Hannah, the heart behind House of K9.
My passion for working with dogs began at home with Merlin, my working cocker spaniel, who started showing some unexpected behaviours.
I spent the whole of lockdown reading, researching, and soaking up everything I could about dogs—ready for the day I’d finally bring Merlin home. When he arrived, I thought I had it all figured out. I’d done everything “by the book” so when behavioural issues started cropping up, I couldn’t believe it. I quickly realised that despite all the preparation, I hadn’t even scratched the surface of what it meant to truly understand and support a dog. I looked for local trainers, but finding a good one is like gold dust. I went through multiple trainers before finding the right one—and now, I want to be that “right one” for someone else. That first-time, right-time trainer who brings real change and reassurance, not confusion and false hope.
That experience lit a fire in me—not just to train dogs, but to empower their owners with the tools and understanding they need. At House of K9, it’s not just about obedience; it’s about building trust, confidence, and a partnership that works in real life, not just in a training session.
